Itty Bitty Jackson

One of my favorite things about newborn photo sessions (besides the snuggles, of course) is getting to see the new mom and dad embracing their new roles. Their excitement and pride, mixed with a little exhaustion and a lot of love, is almost tangible in the studio.

This session was particularly fun for me because I've known Jackson's dad since high school and attended his wedding to sweet, southern Jessica a few years ago. I was honored when they asked me to photograph their little guy, and I immediately knew a Harris photo session would *have* to include mini baseball pants and a tiny Yankees cap. I see lots of late nights spent yelling at the TV or afternoons at the ballpark with Dad in Jackson's future for sure!

Not wanting to miss out on any action, Jackson was super alert throughout the session; but, he was such a good sport (haha, see what I did there?). The few times he got fussy, Jessica was able to calm him right down, and he just stared up at her - obviously already crazy about his Momma. It was precious!

Of course, eventually, we wore him out... Even asleep though, he was totally hamming it up with some adorable sleepy smiles!

Baby Jackson, may you always be this cooperative and happy!!! ;)
